Round Size Above Ground Pool
Round pools may be the most classic shape there is. All four of the brands we offer at The Pool People have round options for you to choose from. Typically, round pools are measured by diameter. So, an 8-foot round pool is 8 feet from one side of the pool to the other side of the pool.
Doughboy offers different size options for round above ground pools, ranging from 8 feet to 32 feet. Embassy Pools has a similar variety of round pool sizes from 12 to 20 feet. Cornelius and Radiant Pools carry similar variations in size, with Radiant Pools going as big as 33 feet in diameter.
With all these options, it’s easy to get overwhelmed. But any informed pool shopper should start by figuring out exactly where you want to or are able to put your above ground pool. Then you can measure that space and see what options you have for pool size from there.
Round pools often offer the smallest options, so if you’re limited on size, this could be a good above ground pool choice for you.
Oval Size Above Ground Pool
Oval above ground pools tend to be bigger than round ones and come in larger size options. The above ground pool size is also measured differently for oval pools. They are measured in length and width. Some sizes are 20 feet by 12 feet, 24 feet by 16 feet, and 34 feet by 18 feet. This is just a sampling of sizes — there are several more options available.
With the wide range of sizes in oval pools, you have lots of options offered to you. But these pools definitely require more space and are sure to be a dominant feature if you have a smaller backyard. So, make sure you’re prepared with a nice big space if you go with the larger size oval above ground pool. All of the pool brands we carry have oval options as well.
Rectangle Size Above Ground Pool
Radiant Pools is the only pool brand we offer at The Pool People that has a rectangle option for an above ground pool. These pools are measured in length and width, similar to oval pools. But they are also a good semi-inground option too.
The Radiant Pools brand is also the only one we offer with semi-inground pool options. So, you definitely know what to ask for if you’re leaning towards this above ground pool size and shape. Radiant offers several sizes for their rectangle pools, from 8 by 12 feet to 16 by 32 feet. These are a great match with patios for a cohesive backyard experience, especially since they come in steel and resin.
